Fleckney Stitchers

Fleckney Stitchers was started 18 years ago by a group of people who shared a common interest in cross stitching.

Over the years this has evolved to include a wide variety of stitching interests; knitting, crotchet, quilting and embroidery as well as cross stitch.

We are a small friendly group who usually meet on the first Monday of the month at 8pm in the village hall.Tea and coffee are served during the evening.

Between us we have a good range of crafting knowledge and are more than willing to help with project queries. We would really welcome new members to join us.

Ensemble Theatre Company

Ensemble Theatre Company was established in January 2015 by a small group of talented and dynamic thespians aspiring to create a modern and engaging theatre experience to the unsuspecting inhabitants of South Leicestershire.

All of the founder members of the group met whilst performing with another local theatre group over a number of years, and decided to collaborate under a new name 'Ensemble'.

We are a dynamic company that performs musicals, variety shows, plays and murder mysteries in various venues, ranging from traditional theatre settings to restaurant dinner theatre.

We welcome new members interested in any aspect of theatre and encourage you to get in touch with any questions!

The Duckpond Players

The Fleckney Duckpond Players is a friendly, local, amateur dramatic group founded in August 1998. The group was set up to encourage interest in all aspects of drama from producing & directing to backstage, lighting & sound as well as of course acting & singing. New members with an interest in anything theatrical are always welcome to join us in our bid to bring quality live theatre to the residents of Fleckney and the surrounding villages.

We are, first and foremost, an adult group but we do welcome local children to join us if age appropriate parts are available. We put on two shows each year (mid-May for plays, musicals & variety shows and Nov/Dec for our annual pantomime) but, when our calendar allows, we also organise fund raising events for local and national charities.

For more information Call us on - 07543 506247 or Find us on Facebook - The Duckpond Players Drama Group.  Or why not come along to one of our meetings? We meet every Monday night in Fleckney Village Hall between 7.30pm and 10.00pm - you will be very welcome!

Whist Drive

There is a Whist Drive which is held on a Monday afternoon in the Meeting Room of Fleckney Village Hall.  We are a small friendly group of people who meet once a month to enjoy a few games of cards.  We start at 2pm and usually finish somewhere between 4.30-5.00pm.

We are not experts and don’t get upset at anyone who might lay a wrong card.  We are also happy to pass on our limited knowledge to anyone new who would like to join us. Halfway through the afternoon it is

time for tea and homemade cakes and to draw the raffle.  All this for just £3 and the proceeds go towards refurbishment of the Village Hall

If you would like to come along for an afternoon of cards and good company and help the Village Hall to raise money then ring Janet on

0116 240 2993 or 0794 701 0519

or email at janearwaker@yahoo.co.uk for the date of the next Whist Drive.
